John Matthews and Wil Kinghan have been friends and colleagues for a number of years. In 2008 they decided to combine a love of film and story with their personal knowledge of history, myth, literature, and comic book heroes. Mythwood films is the result!

Together they have written and sold their first screenplay, Men Are Perfect, to a Hollywood production company, and are in discussion with several leading studios over their second script, Churchill’s Magicians. In addition they are developing a TV series called Blood Type, a multidimensional new take on the ancient story of Vampires and in 2009 filmed a shot promo film featuring the talents of Jason Connery and Robin and RJ Gibb. Bloodtype is soon to be featured in the members academy of BAFTA LA.

Being writers as well as producers John & Wil are currently working on a number of new projects including film scripts, graphic novels and a number of documentary proposals for TV.
